Tutorials

• At ICAPS 2024 I gave a tutorial on HTN Planning as part of the ICAPS 2024 Summer School. Material (most likely including the recording) will be provided after the event.
• At ICAPS 2018 I gave a tutorial on HTN Planning, together with my former colleague Daniel Höller. The tutorial had two parts, each lasting 90 minutes.

Mentoring

• I gave an invited talk at the ICAPS Launchpad workshop (also listed in Invited Talks) and was available for the attending (undergraduate) students for questions afterwards and in the break.
• Acted as mentor at the AJCAI PhD forum for one PhD student.
• Acted as mentor at the ICAPS Doctoral Consortium:
  • For one PhD student at the DC 2025.
  • For two PhD students at the DC 2024.

Acting as Guest Editor

• I was a guest editor for the journal KI - Künstliche Intelligenz for the Special Issue on Companion-Technologies, which appeared in February 2016. Springer website. For its editorial and survey of the field see my publication list.

Publicity

• I created a website for Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) planning which hopefully helps grow this subfield. :)
• I also created a website for the IPC 2020 on HTN planning, which I co-organized as well.
• I was aso in in charge of creating a Video on companion Technology, which was an integral part of an award submission. Ulm University was hence awarded as one of the cities in the "Country of Ideas" (Deutschland: Land der Ideen). I also acted as one of the actors ("Pascal", no surprise there!), but that was basically zero work compared to the ~ 1-year project. The video explains the science behind the assistance system that helps assembling a home theater: based on AI planning and related disciplines, such as knowledge representation and dialog systems.
